  1. Some of hannah's conflicts are; hannah doesn't know where she is when she goes back in time. She thinks ist's all a dream beacuse she drank to much wine. Hannah also doesnt know what language they are speaking. They are really speaking yiddish. Hannah is very confused and really worried when she gets captured by nazi soldiers. At that moment every thing becomes apparent to her, and where she really is.

  2. Hannah's main conflict throughout the story is that she doesn't appreciate her religion. When she goes back in time, at first she doesn't believe that she is there. She is actually in the time of the Holocaust. Her conflict then becomes to survive in the harsh concentration camp. Her first conflict, not appreciating her family's values, changes over time. Her main goal becomes to live.

    2. I agree with you Alyssa. When the book starts out and Hannah is in the car she is complaining about why they shouldn't go over to grandpa Wills. But as soon as she opens she opens that door and goes back into time she has a new found respect for her religon and know she has to survive.

  3. There are two main conflicts in this book. Hannah's first main conflict is that she doesn't appreciate that she is jewish. When she travels back in time, at first she thinks that it is a dream because she drank too much wine. But when the nazi captures her, it starts becoming real. Her conflict then is to try and survive in the concentration camp. She learns to embrace her culture there.

    3. I agree Nevien! There were many conflicts in the book. I think her conflicts helped her get closer to her religion and understanding the importance and value of her religion. The conflicts kind of play a major role in the book.

    4. I couldn't agree more. The only reason why she celebrated passover was because her parents made her. During passover though she opens the door and goes back into time and then is captured by the Nazi's and is forced to a concentration camp. She then realizes what happened to her religon earlier in time.

  4. In the book so far there are two main conflicts that stuck out to me. The first is that she doesn't appreciate her religion and just wants to fit in as much as possible with all the Christians girls. Another conflict is that she end up in concentration camp. Hannah think that she just drank to much wine and is dreaming but then she realizes that she is living the past in the horrible Holocaust. She then has to learn how to survive in the concentration camps which is extremely difficult. Now her main focus is trying to make decisions that could cause her her life.

    2. I agree with you. As soon as Hannah realizes that what is going on is real she starts to warn the citizens. They don't believe her at the beginning but later they start to trust Hannah's judgement.

  5. There are a couple conflicts in this book. Fist off she believes that Grandpa Will is crazy and doesn't want to celebrate passover with him. Then when she opens the door and goes back in time she has to make a couple of decisions to save her life. When she first went back into time she was very confused on what was going on and just thought it was some kind of joke. Then she realized it wasn't a joke and had to starte making some choices. Like when she meets the other girls her own age she starts telling them stories based off of American movies. That is Hannah's conflict.

  6. Hannah has had many conflicts during this book. The first conflict, is that she does not want to go to her Grandpa Wills house for passover because she thinks he is crazy! Next, Hannah and her brother have a conflict, because they both want to open the door, but Hannah won that confliction. Her last conflict was in the concentration with the nazis, because she was trying to survive. Overall I think Hannah will get past all the conflicts and get back home

  7. Hannah has a lot of conflicts throughout this book. First off she thinks that her grandfather is crazy and does not want to celebrate passover with him or her family. Second, she goes into the door and goes back in time and has to make a couple of decisions to save her life. Third, she was very confused when she arrived and did not know what was going on. But, along with what ryanosman said I believe that she will get passed all of the conflicts and get back home.

    1. i agree with you Jalen. there is alot of conflict in this book involving Hannah. Hannah was dreadful on the fact that she had to go to passover to see her family, especially her garanfather. The reason why she had so much conflit with her grandfather was because he always told stories about his past. She also thinks her grandfather is a little crazy. He freaked out when Hannah saw the numbers on his arm, but he really started to go crazy when she started to write them down on her arm.
